Tucker Carlson backtracks on Vick

Political pundit Tucker Carlson made national news when he said Eagkes quarterback Michael Vick should have been executed for his role in a dogfighting ring as a guest host on FOXNews' "Hannity."

Carlson returned to the show last night as a guest and backtracked:.

"This is what happens when you get too emotional," Carlson said, according to the Huffington Post. "I'm a dog lover ... I love them and I know a lot about what Michael Vick did ... I overspoke. I'm uncomfortable with the death penalty in any circumstance. Of course I don't think he should be executed, but I do think that what he did is truly appalling."
