Joel Quenneville and Peter Laviolette coached against one another in the Stanley Cup Final last spring.
The Philadelphia Flyers' 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday afternoon ensured they will be behind opposite benches again for the NHL All-Star Game presented by Discover on Jan. 30 in Raleigh, N.C.
By virtue of the Chicago Blackhawks winning the 2010 Stanley Cup, Quenneville will be the head coach of one of the All-Star teams and will be assisted on the bench by Mike Haviland, his current assistant.
The co-coaches for the other All-Star team were to be determined by the team from each conference with the highest points percentage -- points earned divided by total possible points -- at the conclusion of play Saturday.
The West spot was clinched by Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault, whose team had the most points in the League as play began Saturday. Laviolette then clinched the East spot on Saturday afternoon.
