Sixers win Summer League thriller over Lakers

Rodney Carney and Lou Williams combined for 59 points as the Sixers edged the Los Angeles Lakers, 98-95 in overtime.

With the Sixers down by three in regulation, Carney hit a game-tying three-pointer with 10.3 seconds left in regulation. In overtime, Carney scored eight of his game-high 30 points to seal the win for Philadelphia.

"In the previous games, I was being a little too over-aggressive," Carney said of his Summer League play. "Tonight I just tried to play my game and relax."

Lou Williams continued his dominating summer play, by pouring in 29 points, pulling down five rebounds and dishing out five assists.

"Summer league is the time to improve," Williams said. "This opportunity to play is making me tougher, keeping me in shape and giving me a chance to work on my defensive skills."
