Sixers finish Vegas Summer League with another OT win

Lou Williams finished with a team-high 23 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals as the Philadelphia 76ers bested the Phoenix Suns, 104-101, in overtime. All five Sixers' starters reached double-figures in points on the game.

Williams converted a three-point play to tie the game at 98 with 27 seconds remaining. On the ensuing possession, Philadelphia forced Phoenix into a 24 second violation but Williams missed a three-pointer from the top of the arc and the game went to overtime, where the Sixers outscored the Suns 6-3.

"I've gotten a lot tougher," Williams said. "This last game especially, I was really tired. I was sucking wind when we went to overtime. I had to dig deep."

In his five Vegas Summer League games, Williams averaged 25.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, five assists and 1.6 steals.

"I had a great time playing here (in Las Vegas) but things aren't going to get any easier. We have a day off tomorrow, but then we play in Salt Lake on Friday," Williams said.

Second-year swingman Rodney Carney sat out the second half for the Sixers with back spasms.
