The Philadelphia 76ers will hold the second-round of auditions for the 2007-08 Sixers Dancers on Wednesday, July 18 at Chickie's & Pete's in South Philadelphia. The 30 semi-finalists that advanced past the first-round of auditions will compete for the final 16 spots on the team.
Beginning at 7 p.m. all finalists will perform solo, then in groups of three. Between performances, they will be interviewed and judged in active-wear as well and dresses.
Sixers public address announcer Matt Cord will emcee the event. Special guest judges include one of the East Coast's top advertising and editorial photographers Michael Spain-Smith, two-time Def Comedy Jam Champion TuRae, Pete Ciarrocchi of Chickie's & Pete's, 100.3 the Beat's morning radio host Pooch, 6-ABC sports reporter Keith Russell, CBS-3 traffic reporter Bob Kelly, Fox-29 anchor Kerri-Lee Halkett, NBC-10 news reporter Jamison Uhler and Comcast SportsNet personality John Boruk.
The final team will be unveiled Saturday, August 4 during the Sixers Beach Bash at LaCosta in Sea Isle City, N.J.
