The Houston Texans signed free agent linebacker Shawn Barber on Tuesday.
Barber re-signed with Philadelphia last year and had a strong start in a reserve role for the Eagles. Injuries, however, slowed down the 10-year veteran and he finished with 60 tackles and seven quarterback hurries in 13 games.
For his career, Barber has 643 tackles, 10 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and seven interceptions with Washington, Philadelphia and Kansas City in 105 games, including 76 starts at linebacker.
