The Philadelphia Flyers reassigned forward Darren Reid to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms, on Thursday.
Reid, 23, was scoreless in 13 games for the Flyers this season. He has registered 16 goals and seven assists for 23 points and 17 penalty minutes in 44 AHL games this season for the Phantoms and the Springfield Falcons.
His 16 goals lead the Phantoms. He has posted 22 points (15G,7A) and 12 penalty minutes in 34 games for the Phantoms and recorded a goal and five penalty minutes in 10 games for the Falcons. He was acquired by the Flyers from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Daniel Corso on November 9, 2006.
