Comcast-Spectacor to host block parties for every Sixers and Flyers postseason game

Comcast-Spectacor will host a giant outdoor Bud Light Playoff Block Party outside the Wells Fargo Center on the 11th street side of the arena for all home Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers playoff games.

The Bud Light Playoff Block Party, which begins three hours before the start of every home Flyers and Sixers game, features live music, delicious barbecue food, Best of Philly’s Dapper (Hot) Dog Cart, a Rockstar Energy Drink Lounge, The Bud Light “Bottoms Up” Portable, and much more.

The Bud Light Playoff Block Party, which takes place both inside the AT&T Pavilion and outside the Wells Fargo Center on the 11th street side, begins this Thursday, April 14 at 4:30 p.m. when the Flyers host the Buffalo Sabres in Game One of the National Hockey League’s Eastern Conference Quarterfinals at the Wells Fargo Center (game time is 7:30 p.m.). The party continues on Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m. when the two teams meet again in Game Two (game time is 5 p.m.). Sixers playoff dates, opponent and game times are still to be determined.

“The Bud Light Playoff Block Party is a great opportunity for fans of both of our teams to come to the arena early, have a great meal, meet friends, listen to live music and avoid some of the potential traffic congestion before our playoff games,” said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko.

At the Bud Light Playoff Block Party, fans can feast at The Tailgate Grille, featuring The Grilled Stack Burger, BBQ Chicken Sandwiches and loaded French fries, as well as the award-winning hot dogs from Dapper Dog Cart, including The Hat Trick Dog with bacon, cheddar cheese, and jalepenos; The Eat Your “Face Off” Dog with macaroni and cheese; The Chili Leino Dog with chili and cheddar cheese; or the Hot Dog Italiano with tomato sauce, pepperoni, sharp provolone and parmesan cheese.

Early arrivals at the Block Party can enjoy domestic draft beers at the Bud Light Draft Truck for $4 as well as food specials each night. The Come Early/Stay Late deals are available during the first hour of the Block Party, and in the AT&T Pavilion following each game.

Fans can participate in interactive games, including a dunk tank and mechanical bull and can test their hockey and basketball skills. There will also be pop-a-shot contests, shots on goal and meet-and-greets with team alumni and mascots. Local area radio stations will be on site with interactive games, including Wii video game challenges, and other fun activities.

The live concert stage will feature music from some of the region’s top cover bands while area radio stations will broadcast live.

Official playoff merchandise for both the Flyers and Sixers will be available at the Block Party, as well as in the expanded Fan Gear store located on the Broad Street side of the arena. Fan Gear is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. and during all playoff games.

Tickets for the game are required for entry into the Block Party. The Block Party concludes at the start of each game.

Comcast SportsNet will be broadcasting live from the Playoff Block Party during every home Flyers and Sixers playoff game.

PJ Whelihan’s at the Wells Fargo Center and the Cadillac Grille at the Wells Fargo Center will both open two hours s prior to the start of the game.
