Joe McKnight, the best high school running back in the nation according to Rivals.com, is going to be a USC Trojan. The USC staff sent a text message to Marvin Austin telling him the good news, perhaps a precursor that Austin will be joining McKnight in Southern California.As The Phanatic Magazine theorized in yesterday's Broderick Green article, a crowded backfield at USC may give the Nittany Lions an advantage when Green unveils his collegiate plans at a 1:25 p.m. (et) news conference today.
The Phanatic Magazine will have news of the announcement when it happens, then cover National Signing Day for Rutgers, Temple and Penn State, detailing recruit commitments for all three schools.
