PHILADELPHIA - Phillies outfielder Ben Revere is scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday on his broken right foot and is expected to miss six to eight weeks.
Revere was hurt during the 11th inning in the opener of Saturday's doubleheader against the Chicago White Sox when he fouled a pitch off the inside of his right foot. The 25-year-old speedster was batting .305 with 22 stolen bases in 88 games this season, his first with Philadelphia.
The injury comes at a tough time for Revere, who entered Saturday's twinbill batting a red-hot .347 since the end of April
