SALT LAKE CITY (September 15, 2010) – Former Sixers center Francisco Elson signed a deal with the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
The Sixers acquired Elson from the Milwaukee Bucks back on Feb. 18, along with shooting guard Jodie Meeks for Primoz Brezec, Royal Ivey and a 2010 second round draft pick, which turned out to be Darington Hobson.
Elson (7-0, 240, California) owns career averages of 3.9 points and 3.8 rebounds over seven NBA seasons with Denver, San Antonio, Seattle, Milwaukee and Philadelphia. Elson has also appeared in 30 playoff games (10 starts), averaging 2.9 points and 2.8 rebounds. His best statistical season came in 2006-07 with San Antonio, when he appeared in 70 games (41 starts), averaging 5.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 19.0 minutes.
