The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have signed WR Jeremy Williams to the practice squad.
Originally a rookie free agent signing of the San Diego Chargers in 2010, Williams (6-0, 203) was released as part of the team’s final roster cutdown on September 4. The 23-year-old starred collegiately at Tulane, earning honorable mention All-Conference USA honors as a senior in 2009 after recording 84 receptions for 1,113 yards and seven touchdowns. He finished his career ranked fourth in school history in receptions (197) and receiving yards (2,807), and seventh in touchdown catches with 19.
The Baytown, TX, native attended Sterling High School, where he earned all-district honors and was named the District Offensive MVP as a senior.
