Temple quarterback Adam DiMichele underwent successful surgery on Sunday to repair a comminuted fracture of his left tibia.
Team physician Dr. Ray Moyer performed the surgery at Temple University Hospital and expects the redshirt junior to make a full recovery.
DiMichele suffered the season-ending injury on Saturday during the second quarter of Temple's 24-17 win over Miami (OH). Prior to leaving the game, the Owls' signal caller threw a perfect 4-for-4 for 36 yards. Two minutes prior to his injury, the team captain scored Temple's second touchdown to put TU ahead, 14-7.
DiMichele started all eight games for Temple this fall, leading the team to three consecutive wins. On Oct. 15, he earned MAC Offensive co-Player of the Week honors for the East division.
When Temple (3-5, 3-2 MAC) returns to action on Friday, Nov. 2 at Ohio, sophomore Vaughn Charlton of Landenberg, PA will be at the controls.
