Senior forward Orlando Miller, who originally walked on to the Temple basketball team in 2003, was awarded a full scholarship Thursday.
"Orlando works as hard as any member of the team, and we are happy to be able to reward his effort," said head coach Fran Dunphy.
Miller played in seven games as a freshman in 2003-04 and four last season as a junior. The Jamaican native has three career points and two rebounds.
Miller and his teammates will make their public debut with Cherry and White Night on Friday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. The free event, open to the public and held at McGonigle Hall, will feature the Temple men's and women's basketball teams each holding separate scrimmages and culminate with a "Walk For The Cure" led by Dunphy and Temple women's head coach Dawn Staley and their respective teams.
