Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl free safety Brian Dawkins will miss the team's game against the New York Jets on Sunday with a neck injury.
"Dawkins is out with a neck stinger," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "Dawk is having treatment done out of town with a specialist. He'll be back, obviously, for next week's practice.
"It’s still bothering him. So, we're looking at different ways; people that we know and trust. They're specialists there."
Meanwhile, cornerback Lito Sheppard is listed as questionable for the Eagles, while running back Brian Westbrook, tight end L.J. Smith and left tackle William Thomas, all of whom missed the team's last game, are all listed as probable.
Left guard Todd Herremans, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery during the club's bye week, is expected to start.
