The Phanatic has learned from sources close to John LeClair that the longtime Flyers foward will return to the team sometime, to use Billy King's venacular, in the next 48 hours.
The left winger, who spent 10 seasons in a Flyers uniform before signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2005, has been confirmed to be in the suburban Philadelphia area. Pittsburgh sent LeClair to the minors twice this month, but he never reported to Scranton/Wilkes Barre.
LeClair has two goals and five assists in 21 games for Pittsburgh this season. The Flyers could use a familiar face, because unless someone is a big Phantoms fan, it's hard to tell who's on the ice anymore.
Stay tuned to The Phanatic for futher details....
