The end-of-college-season pickle race is upon us, and the Phantoms chimed in with some roster news on Tuesday.
Nick Luukko, son of former Comcast/Flyers rep Peter, signed an amateur tryout contract with the AHL club through the end of the season.
The younger Luukko just concluded his senior campaign for the University of Vermont, totaling two goals and 12 assists over 41 games. UVM's 2014-15 season concluded with a Hockey East semifinal loss to UMass-Lowell.
In four years under Kevin Sneddon, the 23-year-old native of West Chester, PA picked up eight goals and 27 assists in 131 appearances.
