Bellator takes action against Jackson

BURLINGTON, NJ - Bellator MMA filed an injunction to stop veteran star Quinton "Rampage" Jackson from fighting in an April 25 bout promoted by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The suit for an injunction and related relief was filed in the Chancery Division of the Superior Court in Burlington County, New Jersey in an attempt to compel Jackson to honor his contractual agreement with Bellator.

According to Bellator, Jackson completed only three fights of his exclusive six-fight contract with the group and should be barred by contract from fighting for any promoter other than Bellator.

"We look forward to having one of our MMA stars fighting for Bellator again," the company said in a statement.
