Sixers sign Varnado for rest of season

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia 76ers have signed forward Jarvis Varnado for the rest of the season.

Varnado originally signed a 10-day contract with the Sixers on March 1, 2014 and at the time, he was the 27th Call-Up of the 2013-14 NBA Development League season.

Varnado has appeared in five games for the Sixers this season.  At the time of his call-up, he was second in the D-League in rebounding (11.0 rpg) and first in blocks (4.7 bpg) and was named an All-Star as a member of the Iowa Energy.
