Sixers free agent forward Darius Songaila has signed a one-year deal to play with the Turkish team Galatasaray.
According to his agent Mark Bartlestein, Songalia signed for $1.5 million plus bonuses and the contract does not have an escape clause if the NBA lockout ends in time for the 2011-12 NBA season.
Songaila, 33, has played for five NBA teams over 10 seasons and was not a regular in the Sixers rotation last season.
