Temple's Eric done for season

Temple University junior forward Micheal Eric will miss the remainder of the 2010-11 season due to a fracture of his right patella.  Eric suffered the injury during practice Tuesday.

One of only three players to start all 24 games for the #23/25 Owls, Eric ranks second on the team in rebounding (5.9 rpg.) and blocked shots (1.6 bpg.) while averaging 7.1 points per game.  His blocked shot average also ranks seventh in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

He posted his first career double-double at Fordham (1/5), scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. He set a career-high with five blocks vs. Seton Hall (11/12) in the team’s opener and his 12 rebounds against Northern Illinois (12/18) are a career best.
