Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome says am ESPN report that the team is considering a trade for Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb is untrue.
"We have not had one meeting to discuss any personnel on our team or anyone else's team," Newsome told Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun Monday. "We've been very busy hiring assistant coaches. We don't have a quarterback coach yet."
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday that the Ravens were considering making an offer for McNabb, a rumor buoyed by the fact that new Ravens head coach, John Harbaugh, has been an Eagles assistant for McNabb's whole career.
The Ravens roster currently sports the aging Steve McNair, the disappointing Kyle Boller and former Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith at the quarterback position.
