Eagles promote McCoy to active roster

The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have signed T Pat McCoy from the practice squad. To make room on the 53-man roster, the team released S Marcus Paschal.

A 2nd-year pro from West Texas A&M, McCoy spent his entire rookie season on the Eagles 53-man roster, but was deactivated for all 16 regular season games and both playoff contests. He began the 2007 season on the Eagles active roster, but was released and signed to the practice squad on September 20.

After spending most of his rookie season on the Eagles practice squad, Paschal was signed to the Eagles active roster on November 7 and saw action in two games.
