Meet the New Nits, Part III

Chaz Powell, CB (Susquehannock High School, Glen Rock, PA): As a senior, Powell was named first team Class AAA All-State by the Associated-Press The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Powell played running back and defensive back last season for Susquehannock where he accumulated 1190 yards rushing, 16 touchdowns, 11 yards per carry, 30 yards per catch, 16 blocked extra points, three interceptions and returned one for a touchdown. Powell also holds the school record for the longest touchdown (a 98-yard touchdown run this past season) and he added a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to go along with a 96-yard punt return for a touchdown his sophomore season. Ryan Breen, P/K (Clarkston High School, Clarkston, MI): As a senior, Breen earned All-Metro honors. On 22 punts, he averaged 36 yards, on extra points he was 26-31, and he had five field goals with a long of 33 yards. Breen, an all-county kicker/punter last season, averaged just less than 40 yards a punt and frequently put his kickoffs into the end zone. (Scout.com)

Jon Ditto, TE (Gateway Sr. High School, Monroeville, PA): At that size, he has good speed and strength. Ditto has soft hands and is very good in the air showing excellent body control. He is also fearless going over the middle showing good concentration when knowing he’s going to get punished by the secondary. Ditto also can get by you deep with his deceptive speed. As a senior, Ditto was named first team All-Conference by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. As a junior, he earned second team Class AAAA Associated Press All-State and third team PA Football News All-State. Ditto caught 29 passes for 508 yards and five touchdowns. Nathan Stupar, SLB (State College Area High School, State College, PA): Stupar is a warrior, he will lay it all out on the line. Played mostly as a defensive end where he wreaked havoc off the edge, and his senior season he is playing linebacker as he will in college. A very tough tackler who makes plays all over the field. As a senior, Stupar earned first team Class AAAA Associated Press All-State honors and was named to the Harrisburg Patriot-News "Platinum 33" team. As a junior, Stupar earned first team Class AAAA Associated Press All-State and first team PA Football News All-State honors. (Scout.com) Stupar decided to stay home instead of taking an offer from Maryland, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Stanford, Virginia or West Virginia.

Josh Marks, OT (Southern Columbia Area High School, Catawissa, PA): Marks is a very strong athlete, bench pressing 400-plus pounds. He delivers a quick and powerful punch and moves well for his size. Must continue to keep his weight down in order to maintain that quickness. As a senior, Marks was named first-team All-State by the Associated Press. Marks, a perennial All-State selection, has been the anchor of the Southern Columbia lines the past three seasons. Chris Colasanti, MLB (Brother Rice High School, Bloomfield, MI): This is a kid with good speed and size and he plays with good fundamentals, especially when it comes to tackling. Colasanti plays downhill and he shows excellent range and is a big hitter. He really explodes through his hips and generates a ton of power. Colasanti plays sideline to sideline. Another impressive attribute of Colasanti is his ability to fight off blocks and get to the ball. As a senior, Colasanti had 53 tackles (70 assisted), 12 tackles for loss, 6 1/2 sacks and two fumble recoveries. Colasanti earned All-Metro honors as a senior and was named to the Detroit News "Dream Team." Chris Colasanti is one of the top prospects in the Midwest. Colasanti started his high school career at Notre Dame Prep in Pontiac and transferred to Brother Rice in the middle of his sophomore year. Colasanti had 153 tackles, four sacks and an interception in 2005. He was named All-Catholic League, 1st team Oakland County by the Oakland Press, 1st team All-Metro by the Detroit News and the Detroit Free-Press and 1st team All-State by the Detroit News, Detroit Free-Press and the Associated Press. J.B. Walton, OG (Lackey High School, Indian Head, MD): Amazing speed off the ball, pulls very well for a tackle and projects as one of the top interior linemen on the East Coast. Walton earned a spot on the All-Conference and All-State teams his junior year. (Scout.com) Walton went to Milford Academy to improve grades so he could quality through NCAA regulations. Chose Penn State over Nebraska.
