Broderick Green's scheduled 1:25 p.m. (et) news conference still hasn't started. The Phanatic Magazine has learned that a man walked to the podium just seconds ago to report that the conference would begin in approximately seven minutes, and that the delay was due to Green's late decision.
It has been reported that Green didn't make his decision until 1:00 p.m. (et). Rumors are flying around the Internet that USC head coach Pete Carroll may have made a late push, pulling the rug out from under Penn State's hopes.

Hope Coach Carroll can be that persuasive on the phone when the NCAA investigators call, asking about the phat checks Reggie Bush was cashing while a Trojan. Good luck playing under those sanctions there, Broderick.
