As usual, the Flyers tried to soft-pedal news about defenseman Nicklas Grossmann, telling us during the Rangers' 4-2 win last night that he left after the completion of the first period with a lower-body injury.
That was followed up by a tweet from Howard Eskin later in the evening which revealed it was in fact a groin issue, something picked up only after the game by CSN Philly's Tim Panaccio.
Further sources have picked up on the news, and it is expected that Grossmann will see an unnamed doctor and have an MRI today to see what, if any, damage had occurred.
