Sixers sew up playoff spot with rout of Nets

Philadelphia, PA  - Thaddeus Young had 22 points, Elton Brand scored 21 and the Sixers sewed up a playoff berth with a 115-90 rout of the New Jersey Nets.

Surging at the right time, the Sixers have won three straight games and are 37-23 since a miserable 3-13 start to the season. Jrue Holiday added 17 points, six rebound and seven assists against New Jersey, and Andre Iguodala scored 14 with seven helpers.

"This is a great night for our group," Sixers coach Doug Collins said. "To do it in front our our home fans is special. We now know we are in the playoffs and we want to keep winning."

Brandan Wright scored 15 off the bench to lead the Nets, who fell to 1-9 in their last 10. Mario West added a career-high 13 points in the loss.

Six Shots:

*Young has scored 20-or-more points in three straight games and the Sixers are 11-2 when he nets 20-plus.

*Brand scored 20-or-more for the first time since March 4 against Minnesota.

*Williams had a season-low four points for the Nets.
