Eagles claim CB Prater, bring 4 back to practice squad

PHILADELPHIA - The were awarded cornerback Shaun Prater off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

To make room on the 53-man roster for Prater, Philadelphia waived/injured CB Curtis Marsh, who will revert to the team's injured reserve list if he clears waivers.

Prater (5-foot-10, 190 pound) was a fifth-round draft choice of the Bengals in 2012, but missed his entire rookie season due to a knee injury.

He was a three-year starter for the University of Iowa where he recorded seven career interceptions. He also forced four fumbles as a senior. Prater earned All-Big Ten honors following both his junior and season seasons.

In addition to the Prater move, the Eagles agreed to terms with four players to join their practice squad: T Michael Bamiro, LB Travis Long, WR Greg Salas, and RB Matthew Tucker.
