CHESTER, PA (The Phanatic Magazine) - Spring snow has forced the Philadelphia Union to move their match against FC Dallas back a day.
The game -- originally scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. -- has been rescheduled for Saturday afternoon. Kickoff will be 4 p.m.
“We had every intention to play our match as originally scheduled, but the current weather conditions will challenge the safety of our fans, players, and staff, and they always will be our first priority,” Union CEO and Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz said in a statement released by the team. “With a sunny day in the high 50’s forecasted for tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming everyone to a magnificent setting at PPL Park.”
The Union have opened the 2015 season with back-to-back draws while FC Dallas is perfect thus far (2-0-0).
