The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Tuesday afternoon that winger
Tyrell Goulbourne was signed to a three-year entry-level contract.
A total head-scratcher when taken by former GM Paul Holmgren in the third round of the 2013 draft, Goulbourne is currently in his fifth
(and final) season with the Kelowna of the Western Hockey
League, where he has recorded 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points in
55 games this season.
The rugged 21-year-old overager helped the Rockets to a 48-11-3-1 record
through 63 games of their season heading into tonight’s game at Everett,
which places them first overall in the WHL.
In 268 career games with Kelowna, Goulbourne has recorded 55 goals and 63 assists for 118 points along with 454 PIM.
