The Philadelphia 76ers have the unenviable task of opening their 2013-14 season at home against the two-time defending NBA Champion Miami Heat on October 30.
That revelation was made Tuesday evening, as the NBA released its master schedule for the upcoming season.
Philly will take the court on New Year's Day for the second straight season, this time in Denver. It will be the 21st time in franchise history the club will play a game on the first day of a new calendar year. The Sixers topped the Lakers in LA, 103-99, last year.
