Flyers star forward Danny Briere and his son Cameron survived a crash with a tractor-trailer early Thursday morning right outside Binghamton, New York, according to NBC10.
Briere was reportedly trying to pass a tractor-trailer on Interstate-81 while drowsy and drifted into the other lane, swiping the truck.
The tractor-trailer jackknifed and Briere's car hit a guardrail. He and his son were both taken to the hospital, treated and released.
“I was in a car accident in New York," Briere said in a statement. "I was driving home to visit family and friends back in Canada when I got into an accident [Wednesday] night. My youngest son (Cameron) and I are both okay. We are doing fine.”
