The Phillies have claimed pitcher Nelson Figueroa off waivers from the New York Mets.
Figueroa, 35, went 3-8 with a 4.09 ERA last season. He was 4-5 with a 3.94 ERA in 19 games (13 starts) for the Phillies back in 2001.
Overall the veteran has a career record of 13-28 with a 4.54 ERA in 106 games for the Arizona Diamondbacks (2000), Phillies (2001), Milwaukee Brewers (2002), Pittsburgh Pirates (2003-04) and Mets (2008-09).
