The Philadelphia Flyers will be without forward Jeff Carter indefinitely and forward Simon Gagne for at least three weeks after both players will undergo foot surgery.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren originally pronounced both will miss Thursday's Game 5 in Newark earlier Wednesday with foot injuries. However, Holmgren updated the situation later in the day, saying both will miss more time following their respective procedures.
"Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne will both have right foot surgery on Friday performed by Dr. Steve Raikin in Philadelphia to repair fractures," Holmgren revealed.
