The Baltimore Orioles acquired outfielder Chris Roberson from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for cash considerations Wednesday.
The 28-year-old Roberson spent most of last season with the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate in Ottawa, where he batted .266 in 113 games playing primarily in center field.
In two stints for the Phillies in 2007, Roberson batted .286 in 28 games.
In another roster move, the Phils announced that catcher Pete Laforest was outrighted to triple-A Lehigh Valley and will attend major league spring training as a non-roster invitee.
