The Philadelphia Eagles signed OT Ramiro Pruneda to the practice squad Wednesday.
Pruneda (6-6, 317) began his professional career when he attended the NFL Europa training camp in 2006, where he was assigned to the Cologne Centurions as a “National” player. One week into training camp, he suffered a knee injury and returned to his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico, for rehabilitation. This past offseason, Pruneda was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs and attended training camp with the team in 2007, but was released prior to the start of the regular season. He was later re-signed to the Chiefs practice squad where he remained for weeks 1-7 of this season.
The 24-year old, starred collegiately at Monterrey Tech for five seasons, four of which his team won the Mexican National Championship. Pruneda was a five-time National Team selection, which plays in the Aztec Bowl against an NCAA Division III all-star squad.
