A King's last stand

At some point most kings will face a serious threat to their throne. The Sixers' "king" was long overdue.

Billy King is now facing a serious insurgency fueled by talk radio and the ever-decreasing fan base of a virtually moribund franchise.

Despite a rather embarrassing resume, King has skated along with a hat tip to his owner, Ed Snider. To be blunt, Billy's curriculum vitae would have gotten every other NBA general manager a trip to the unemployment line a long time ago.
