Veteran shortstop Jimmy Rollins has been named the Philadelphia Phillies' entrant for the Roberto Clemente Award, which recognizes the MLB player who best represents the game through positive
contributions on and off the field, including sportsmanship and
community involvement.
It is a fan-generated honor, with online voting set to conclude on Oct. 6.
Carlos Beltran was the 2013 recipient.
