Devils forward Ilya Kovalchuk, who was near-invisible during Sunday's 4-3 OT loss in Game 1 of this Eastern Conference Semifinal, putting up zero points and zero shots in almost 15 minutes of ice time, has been ruled out for tonight.
According to team PR, it is due to an undisclosed injury apparently suffered in the first round.
The dynamic 29-year-old winger recorded two goals and six points in a five-game loss to the Flyers two years ago.
