Former Philadelphia 6ABC and FOX29 sportscaster Don Tollefson was charged Wednesday with three felonies and two misdemeanors after the Bucks County District Attorney said he “fraudulently solicited money for charities,” including the Special Olympics, the Salvation Army and the Brad Fox Foundation.
Tollefson is alleged to have "victimized more than 100 individuals and misappropriated more than $100,000,” the District Attorney’s office said in a statement.
Tollefson was charged by the Warminster Police Department with dealing in the proceeds of unlawful activity, theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and misdemeanor violations of the Pennsylvania Charitable Organizations statute.
