PHILADELPHIA - Former Eagles center Ken Farragut passed away from complications due to diabetes on Sunday morning in Lafayette Hill, according to the team. Farragut was 85 years old.
Selected in the sixth round of the 1951 draft after starring collegiately at the University of Mississippi, Farragut played for the Eagles from 1951-54 and earned Pro Bowl recognition in 1953. He was selected to the University of Mississippi Hall of Fame in 1988 and the Pennsylvania Hall of Fame in 1992.
Farragut was also the recipient of the NFL Alumni Career Achievement Award in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, his daughter, Debbie, sons David and Danny along with eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
