The Eagles today announced they have signed DE Everette Brown and CB Trevard Lindley to two-year contracts.
Brown (6-foor-1, 256) has played in 31 career games (three starts) with the Carolina Panthers (2009-10) and San Diego Chargers (2011), registering 49 tackles, six sacks, three forced fumbles and one interception.
He spent the 2012 offseason with the Detroit Lions, but was released as part of the team’s final roster cut down.
Originally a second-round draft choice if the Panthers in 2009, Brown played collegiately at Florida State, where he finished his career with 100 tackles and 23 sacks, while earning first-team All-ACC and second-team All-America honors in 2008. A native of Stantonburg, NC, Brown attended Beddingford High School in Wilson, NC.
Lindley (6-foot, 183) played in 11 games with the Eagles in 2010, recording 21 tackles and one interception. He was released as part of the team’s final roster cut down in 2011, but rejoined the team during the 2012 offseason.
A native of Litha Springs, GA, Lindley was a fourth-round draft choice of the Eagles in 2010 after being a four-year starter at Kentucky and earning first-team All-SEC honors.
