Ramone Moore named A-10 Player of the Week
PHILADELPHIA – Temple University senior guard Ramone Moore was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 6. It is second career A10 Player of the Week honor, his first coming on December 10, 2011.
The 6-4 Philadelphia native (Southern HS) averaged 23.5 points per game in two wins for the Owls last week. He scored 25 points in a Wednesday home game against Fordham, making on nine-of-16 from the field (56.3 percent), including a career-high six three-pointers on eight attempts. He also dished out five assists in the win. He followed that performance with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists at Rhode Island on Saturday. He shot nine-of-20 (45 percent) from the field.
On the season, Moore leads the A10 in scoring with an 18.0 scoring average. He also is averaging 4,2 rebounds and 3.2 assists while making 38-of-96 from three-point range (39.6%).
Temple (17-5, 6-2), in sole possession of first place in the A10, takes a season-high six-game win streak into its home game Wednesday against George Washington (6:00 p.m./The Comcast Network/1210 AM WPHT).
