Eagles' Allen out for season with ruptured patella tendon

Eagles coach Andy Reid has confirmed safety Nate Allen is done for the season with a patellar tendon rupture in his knee and will have surgery on Tuesday. Meanwhile, WR Jason Avant suffered a slight concussion on DeSean Jackson's walk-off punt return and DT Mike Patterson will be getting an MRI on his sore knee.
