With 96 rushing yards last night, Brian Westbrook moved past Tom Woodeshick (3,563) and into seventh place on the Eagles all-time rushing list. His 3,633 career rushing yards trails Timmy Brown (3,703) by 70 yards for the sixth spot and Ricky Watters (3,794) by 161 yards for No. 5. Meanwhile, with eight catches for 66 yards, Westbrook moved into third place on the team’s all-time list for receptions (271) and receiving yards (2,548) by a running back.
With a sack last night, defensive end Juqua Thomas has now tallied 4 1/2 sacks in his last five games (including playoffs). Only New England’s Mike Vrabel (6 1/2) has notched more sacks during that time span. Since 2006, Thomas ranks third in the NFL with 8.1.2 sacks among undrafted players (includes postseason). Bears DE Adewale Ogunleye and Ravens LB Bart Scott are tied for first with 9.5.
David Akers has connected on all six of his field goal attempts this year, and dating back to 2006, has nailed 10 straight (including playoffs) … With 19 points in 2007, Akers has 808 in his Eagles career and trails Bobby Walston (881) by 73 points for first place on the Eagles all-time list.
Donovan McNabb became the third quarterback in team history to start 100 regular season games, joining Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham.
Brian Dawkins played in his 159th regular season game as an Eagle, tying him with Randy Logan for third place on the team’s all-time list behind Harold Carmichael (180) and Chuck Bednarik (169).
William Thomas played in his 137th regular season game, tying him with Andre Waters and Wes Hopkins for 11th on the club’s all-time list.
