CSN to air new Phillies program

PHILADELPHIA - (December 12, 2011) - Comcast SportsNet, the region’s leading source for local sports coverage, continues to be the home of the most comprehensive coverage of the Philadelphia Phillies, including the debut of “Phillies Hot Stove.”

This new weekly program will air throughout the Phillies off-season and will focus on the latest news and moves from the Phillies and the rest of the league. Marshall Harris will host the program alongside Phillies Insider Jim Salisbury. Each week, they’ll be joined by a special guest, and will break down the latest news and moves throughout baseball. “Phillies Hot Stove” will debut on Tuesday, December 13 at 11 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. This week’s guest is Phillies Pregame and Postgame Live analyst Ricky Bottalico.

Canucks-Flyers breaks CSN viewing record

PHILADELPHIA (October 13, 2011) Last night’s Flyers home opener on Comcast SportsNet delivered a 5.1 household rating (155,000 HHs), making it the highest regular season Flyers game in Comcast SportsNet’s history.

Last night’s Flyers 5-4 victory was #1 in male demos with M18-49 posting a 4.93 HH rating and M25-54 a 5.04 rating.

“Flyers Postgame Live” also posted strong numbers with a 2.5 HH rating (76,000 HHs). The program was also #1 in M18-49 & M25-54 demos delivering 2.73 and 2.55 ratings respectively. “Flyers Pregame Live” delivered a 1.6 HH rating (49,000 HHs) for the first home game of the season.

During the 2010-11 season, Flyers games averaged a 2.4 rating on Comcast SportsNet and a 2.0 rating on The Comcast Network, a 9% and 25% increase respectively over the 2009-10 season.

The Flyers return to Comcast SportsNet on Saturday, October 15 when they take on the Los Angeles Kings.
