With both the Villanova men's and women's basketball teams traveling to Rome this weekend to take on fellow Catholic institution Notre Dame in Rome, members of the respective entourages of both schools met with Pope Leo XIV in the Eternal City.
Here's 'Nova's first meeting, earlier today, with the Pontiff, a proud graduate of the Augustinian university located on Lancaster Avenue.
For more coverage of the visit, follow Jeff Neiburg's account.
Pope Leo threw his V up and then stood for a photo with the Villanova men’s and women’s hoops programs (and some other folks) https://t.co/mbc88hFZe4
