Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters was arrested in Monroe, Louisiana today after leading police on a chase at speeds exceeding 100 miles an hour, according to USA Today.
Peters was charged with drag racing and resisting by flight.
The arresting officer claimed that he observed two cars stopped next to each other at a red light take off at a high rate of speed when the light turned green, as if they were drag racing. The officer went to pull over both cars, and while one driver stopped immediately, the other driver (Peters) fled and speeds reached more than 100 miles an hour during the chase.
A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Peters missed the entire 2012 season after suffering a pair of Achilles tendon injuries.
