Jack McInerney's second-half goal lifted the Philadelphia Union to a 1-0 win over the New England Revolution at PPL Park on Saturday.
The Union have not had much to celebrate this season - they remain third from bottom in the East despite improving to 36 points on the season - other than the emergence of McInerney.
The youngster struggled to capture consistent playing time in Peter Nowak's run as Union team manger but he's excelled under John Hackworth and tallied his team-best seventh goal of the season on Saturday.
Philadelphia (10-15-6) has won three of its last four as it looks to close out the season on a high note, while New England (7-17-8) is winless in its last four league games to stay put on 29 points.
