Knuble Has Successful Surgery

"Mike Knuble had successful, one hour surgery today performed by Dr. Guy Lanzi at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey," Flyers general manger Paul Holmgren said. "Mike had two plates inserted in his face to fixate the broken bones in both his right cheekbone and right orbital bone. He will spend the night in the hospital and return home tomorrow. We are expecting him to return to action in approximately four weeks. He will be out of any type of activity for at least a week to 10 days and then he will start his conditioning. Everything went well and Mike is resting comfortably."
